Beta · v0.1.0-beta.1

Made for explorers and creators.

Realm Viewer is a desktop app for Second Life. Find your way across the grid, plan what you build there, and try on a look before you commit to it.

For macOS, Windows and Linux.

Second Life, with a map in one hand and a plan in the other.

Worlds this big reward curiosity, and they reward the people who make them. Realm Viewer gives both a steadier footing: routes that find their own way, plans that show a build before you rez it, and a session that gets back on its feet when a region drops you.

Run one avatar or several, each with its own place, outfit and conversations, from one window.

For explorers

Go further, and get there on your own.

Point at a spot on the map. Realm plans the way there from the terrain and collision shapes it has seen, stairs and openings included. There's nothing to wear and no region navigation map to rely on.

  • Walk the map

Walk or run to a target on the live region map, follow someone, or set a patrol route and let it loop.

  • Paste a link, check it, go

Paste a secondlife:// or Maps link and see the destination before you press Teleport. Keep bookmarks for the places worth returning to.

  • Find what's nearby

Search close objects by name, like a sign, a vendor or a welcome pack giver. Realm marks each one on the minimap so you can walk over or touch it.

  • Remember the way in

Record a route through a tricky entrance, then adjust it as a flowchart with branches for what the place throws at you.

For creators

See the build before you spend the prims.

Capture a place you already have, or start from an empty floor. Lay it out, stage objects from your inventory, and rez only once the permissions check out.

  • Floorplan

Work floor by floor in top, front, side and 45° cutaway views. Keep separate projects for each avatar, and export or import them as files.

  • Rez with fewer surprises

Realm checks inventory, land and region limits again before each batch, and stops if a step can't be confirmed.

  • Walk it offline

Take a captured place with you as a walkthrough, with geometry and textures saved, and step through it with no region loaded.

  • Wardrobe and preview

Try objects on in the 3D preview, adjust the lighting, then save the look as an outfit folder of links. Your originals stay where they are.

  • Merchant tools

Keep your Marketplace sales in one place. Importing overlapping dates is safe, because Realm skips orders it already has.

Also on board

  • Comes back on its own

After a disconnect, Realm runs a full fresh login. It can also put back what's missing from your outfit and sit you down again if you land close to your seat.

  • Comms in one place

Direct messages, group chats and conferences, each kept to the avatar they belong to.

  • Alerts on your phone

Hear about private messages through ntfy, Telegram or your own webhook when you've stepped away.

  • Optional AI

Connect an Ollama or OpenAI-compatible model if you want one. AI chat and actions stay off until you turn them on for an avatar.

  • Photo mode

Compose shots of your avatar and the scene around it, with camera and style controls in Render Studio.

  • No L$ sending

This beta can't send Linden dollars at all, so an accidental payment isn't possible.
